| Members: Bobby Burg
In September 1999 Bobby Burg was in Chicago- his roommate, Drew Wilson, helped him record an album entitled Green- they were called The Love of Everything. In 2000 drinking.feeling was released - featuring help from Matt Clark. Bobby Burg was living in New York City.
Piano.bedroom.florida was released the following year as a set of 3 7" records - again featuring Matt Clark among others. Bobby Burg was developing his own music style and meeting people and making friends long the way - it is only natural that his next album would be titled friENDS. Using his own record label entitled Record Label - Bobby was able to release each of his albums - in 2004 Brilliante helped release Total Eclipse of the Heart and Redder Records released Handjob Community. Featuring members of Joan of Arc whom Bobby was touring with- sometimes as the guitar tech - sometimes as a member- or the dude at the merch table. Bobby soon became a full-time player with Joan of Arc and joined Make Believe - in 2005 Love of Everything participated in a split with Owen, Joan of Arc, and Make Believe. That same year Mount Eerie and Love of Everything released a split 7". In 2006 Love of Everything released Superior Mold and Die and did an extensive tour to promote it. Love of Everything's formula of raw grown-up lyrics with childlike toy keyboard and nursery rhyme rhythms remains intact and this collection of songs works hard to develop the experimental themes presented in past releases. Fans will recognize many of these songs from his unforgettable live solo shows where he builds a wall of sound with simple instruments and a looping pedal until he finally starts singing, hushing audiences with the initial surprise of words after the lengthy process of creating the sound of a full band. |
