When dealing with a harsh inevitability, you'll do pretty much anything to avoid thinking about it. Most importantly, in the face of that adversity, you keep busy and do what comes naturally. This is precisely what Nate Kinsella and the rest of Make Believe did when he got word that he'd be spending two months in a county jail in Oklahoma.

The end result of their self-enforced distraction is Of Course, an album created and recorded entirely in under a month. While Make Believe are no strangers to keeping busy as they tour almost ritualistically and practice forty hours a week when they do find themselves in Chicago, the new album is truly uncharted territory for the band.

Typically obsessive perfectionists, this record is unlike any of their previous releases, the most recent of which, Shock of Being, hit the streets precisely one year prior to this one oddly enough. Of Course is an airtight, exuberant and visceral statement of a band hanging together in tough times, beautifully unrevised and unrefined. The compact disc version of Of Course will be released on Flameshovel.
